By The Sea

I haven't physically been to the beach lately but I have been there in my mind.  I enjoyed making these mermaids more than I expected.  I made these over a period of three days.  Each day I would sit down at the torch I just felt like making another mermaid.  They take some time to make and I think I will enjoy developing other tails, bodies, and accessories.  Maybe I will even try a merman!

Just need a bit of flora and fauna to go with whatever I make with my mermaids and other sea related ideas I have yet to make.

Experimenting with some shells.  They need a bit more work but I am happy with my start.  These were very fun to make!

This next bead is one I made in my class with Libby at the ISGB Gathering.

I am officially caught up with the beads I have photographed and edited.  I do have jewelry to make this week as well as some new beads.  I hope to have those photographed and ready to share with you soon!

Some exciting news!!!
I will be displaying my beads and jewelry at the Levis Commons art show next weekend in front of Salvatore Capelli Salon 4105 Chapel Drive so stop by and say hello and check out all the great items the Salon will have on display for the event.  I love this art show - not too big, not too small.  Lots of great art and and friendly artists.
Hope to see you there!
Chris

Lots To Catch Up On. Beads, Beads And More Beads.

It has been so long since I've blogged that this post will mostly be photos of beads.  First of all, did you notice my new blog design?  Thanks to my 23 year old daughter my blog now has a bright new look!  She changed the format a bit too.  Hopefully it will be easier to find the information you are looking for.  If you are new to my blog, make sure to check out the Blog Archive on the right side of the page.

Since my last post, I have taken a class with Jari Sheese in Chicago, and went to my first full week at the ISGB Gathering.  I took several classes there too.  My two day class was with Libby Leuchtman.  I had a great time and fortunately had a fun roommate to share my week with.

So enough about me, lets get to the good stuff.

These first photos are from my class with Jari.  These are NOT my photos but were taken by staff at the studio.  We learned how to make ornaments.  These are the final ornaments made by all the students in the class.  Mine is the 5th one from the left.  I enjoyed making these. You might see some more of these closer to Christmas!

I made a bunch of disc beads for my Staxx loving customers.  Most of these can be used on the Staxx Pendant System too.  Since Staxx has been out of business for so long though, I have a new system that I am going to start using soon.  I hope my ring customers will enjoy the new system - photos to come in the near future.  Some of these may still be available on my Artfire account.

Hmmm what's next?  More beads of course.

Yes, I have even more photos to share but I think this is enough for one blog post. Since I've been home from the ISGB Gathering, I have been working on new beads - even mermaids and shells. So check back soon.

Thanks for reading my blog!
