No, not pink squirrels - those of you who know the story behind the Industrial Squirrel will understand the title of this post. If you don't understand, well you can go on a hunt through my blog to find out if you want. :-)
These two pair of earrings are for a customer. She hasn't seen them yet but I know she reads this blog so I guess she is going to see them now! Hope you like them Linda.
Here are two different views - the beads have a lot of nice swirls on all sides.
The top bead in each earring is CIM Cranberry Pink http://www.creationismessy.com/color.aspx?id=25 over clear and the bottom beads are the cranberry over a base of white and decorated with white stringer. I love the color I get when I use it over a base of clear or when I make a small bead of the cranberry alone.
Yes, I am still experimenting with backgrounds and lighting so if you are getting overloaded by my multiple shots of the same item, I apologize. I do like to know what you think looks nice too so feel free to comment on my backgrounds as well as my beads and jewelry!
I will wait and see what Linda thinks about these and if she is not happy with them, for any reason, I will list them on my Artfire account. I think I hit the mark with what she wanted but ya never know for sure.
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!!! Thanks for stopping in to read my blog!

I am almost finished with my photography/lighting testing now too. I used several different backgrounds and would love to know what you like and don't like:

| This is that tricky color to photograph - it really is more purple than it shows here. |
Seems like I prefer the leaf on the black plexi background huh? I do like this last one too with the larger plank of driftwood. I like the the darker backgrounds over the white. If you care to comment on all that I would love to hear your thoughts!
So now all I have to do is get them listed on my artfire site. I'm taking a short break from making beads because the tendons in my hands and arms are really aching and I do not want to get into a mess with overuse issues so I'm taking the advise of other lampworkers and resting for a few days. I will get caught up on my computer stuff and after that I'll finish up some jewelry orders. No matter what, I seem to have plenty of things on my to do list.
Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog!!!

Fall is Starting to Influence My Jewelry Making.
It's that time of year when I want to start wearing sweaters and warm colored jewelry. You all who know me, know that I am a warm sun and beach girl but I do like a bit of fall weather too - just don't want it to go into winter is all.
Several of these pieces are already sold but I plan to make more soon. I'm trying to build up my inventory for two events coming up this fall.
This is a new bangle style I'm working on. This particular bracelet turned out a bit too large so I will re-size it. I am pretty happy with this look.
One of my standard viking bracelets done with the fall colors.
And a more traditional style bracelet - this one is sold:
Matching necklace - is also sold:
Matching earrings - sold:
Most of the beads in these pieces are made with Vetrofond Odd colors. I love the earthy tones and colors I can get out of them especially by striking them to different colors within the batch. Of course there is some CIM in these too. Commando of course http://www.creationismessy.com/color.aspx?id=59, some Mermaid http://www.creationismessy.com/color.aspx?id=75, Army Men http://www.creationismessy.com/color.aspx?id=95 and a little olive http://www.creationismessy.com/color.aspx?id=58 - what would a finished piece of mine be with out a little Messy Color?
I also made a bunch of focal beads and here is a sneak preview:
Boy were these fun to make - I was up till 11 p.m. and didn't want to stop. Can't wait to make more of these. They are those pattern beads that I just love to make!!!!
I've taken most of the photos I need of these beads but am still in the editing process - one of my favorite things to do - NOT - because I'd rather be making more beads instead! But as soon as I get them all done they will be posted here and then to my artfire account.
I've been asked several times recently where I sell my jewelry and beads, or where to follow me so here is all the information and I'll try and remember to use it as a signature for each blog post now.
